About the Event
To tap into our innate wisdom and create true vitality, we must learn the art of doing nothing—intentional rest. Not zoning out or checking off another self-care task, but resting with awareness. Being with ourselves as observers. Listening without trying to fix or change what arises.
What would it feel like to allow yourself to be fully held—weightless, supported, and present—while witnessing your nervous system’s natural ability to soften, unclench, and release?
Somatic Restorative Yoga bridges ancient yogic wisdom with modern science, weaving together restorative yoga and somatic principles to create a deeply regulating and nourishing experience. Using ample props, each posture is designed to support the body completely, allowing effort to fall away. There is no pushing—only passive shapes that invite the body to rest and reorganize itself.
Throughout the practice, you’ll be gently guided to notice sensation, track subtle shifts, and observe what emotions or impulses arise—without judgment or expectation. Drawing from somatic therapy concepts such as titration and pendulation, we move slowly and intentionally, honoring your nervous system’s unique rhythm and capacity. You are always invited to adjust, pause, or rest in a way that feels most supportive to you.
This practice is less about doing yoga and more about coming into relationship with yourself—learning how to listen to your body’s cues, trust its wisdom, and meet yourself with curiosity and compassion. The result is a sense of grounded presence, regulation, and renewal that lingers long after the practice ends.
You will be supported, guided, and encouraged to move at your own pace. Nothing to achieve. Nothing to fix. Just an invitation to rest, feel, and reconnect.
Wear comfortable, layered clothing. Bring a yoga mat, water or tea vessel, and an eye mask (optional). I encourage you to bring a journal and pen if you'd like to jot anything down once our practice has concluded. We have extra mats if you need one and all the props! Seats are limited.
